Serena Belloni - Responsible for research and marketing activities, IAB Italy
Serena is responsible for research and marketing activities at IAB Italy. Previously she was Media Director with the Ogilvy Group where she managed the roll out of Neo@Ogilvy, a unit dedicated to communications planning, developing integrated brand entertainment, and all projects that focussed on digital media.
From April 2006, as part of the Aegis Group, Serena managed digital planning and buying for big clients including Renault, Direct Line, LVMH. In that role she served on home and international working groups where she became involved in analysing emerging trends in interactive TV and mobile advertising.
Pawel Kolenda - Market research, IAB Poland
Pawel provides research solutions and marketing tools for digital communication industry. His areas of expertise are ad-spend, ad-effectiveness and consumer behaviors. Philosopher. He started his market research career almost 20 years ago. His major area of interest is quantitative research. He has worked on more than 500 projects, mostly in Telecom, Finance, Media and FMCG sectors. The above mentioned include consulting, forecasting, insights and recommendations on brand launch and re-launch, crisis brand management and others. He worked for BASES Nielsen, MillwardBrown and local agencies. He entered into online industry in 2008 joining team in research platform start-up with Grupa IQS research agency and Higher School of Social Psychology (SWPS).
In 2010 he started working for IAB Poland. He is also the leader of Research Task Force, author of several publications and speaker at many conferences covering online industry.
Bernd Vehlow - Responsible for Market research team, United Internet Media AG
Bernd Vehlow, graduate degree in communication science, economics and political science. Besides for United Internet Media Bernd worked as Research Manager atSevenOne Media and Yahoo! Germany. At United Internet Media he served as Project Manager Market Research, focussing on the research of video ads.
Today he is responsible for the Market Research Team within UIM's Research & Media Consulting unit. In this current position he is leading the research team responsible for ad effectiveness studies and is working on research projects focussing on video advertising, measurement of KPIs for online advertising, crossmedia and ad effectiveness. As one of the company representatives in industry associations Bernd Vehlow is active in AGOF (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Online- Forschung) and IAB Europe (Interactive Advertising Bureau).
Vicky Cook, Global Insights, Mindshare
Vicky is responsible for global insights at Mindshare, working across the full range of Mindshare’s global clients. Under her leadership, the team works to bring consumers to life, utilising both syndicated and bespoke research.
Over her 10 years at Mindshare, Vicky has played an integral part in the building of proprietary studies and tools, from consumer studies to planning tools, making sure these solutions are used accurately and effectively by Mindshare’s global planning network.
After studying Physics at university Vicky joined MTV Europe in a sales and research role. After deciding to focus purely on research Vicky joined the Mindshare Worldwide team in 2003, and found that her passions for understanding consumer’s behaviours and motivations matched those at Mindshare.
Marc Bresseel - President, Clients and Services, G14 Mediabrands
Marc is responsible for global and regional client relationships within Initiative and UM in the G14 – the major growth markets: France, Germany, UK and Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain, Belgium, Australia, China, Japan, India, Brazil and Mexico. In addition he manages the network's functional services leads at cluster level and across Initiative and UM in the areas of insight, strategy, planning, digital and analytics.
Based at Mediabrands' London office, Marc works directly with the leaders of all the markets in the cluster to deliver business results for clients, and to help markets enhance their services to clients across digital, insight, strategy, planning and trading. Marc joined from Microsoft Advertising where he was Vice-President, Global Marketing, responsible for leading the company's brand strategy and providing industry-leading marketing support to ad sales forces around the world. Prior to this, he was Vice-President Global Agencies at Microsoft Advertising, and before that he was General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Microsoft Advertising EMEA.
Marc joined Microsoft in 1996 as Corporate Communications Manager for Microsoft Benelux. Marc has spoken at a variety of international conferences and festivals - including IAB, dMexco, Cannes Lions, Dubai Lynx, and the Festival of Media - and his achievements have been recognised in several leading industry publications including M&M's 40 under 40.
Thierry Téchy - Chief Strategy Officer, Selligent
Thierry Téchy, Chief Strategy Officer of Selligent since 2011, has a degree in robotic engineering from ISIC in Mons. Before obtaining his degree, Thierry Téchy had already started his professional career. With his business partner André Lejeune (today CEO of Selligent), he founded in April 1988 the company Readeal, which would then become Selligent.
In 1990 they together identified the need for modern tools to support the management of relationships between customer-facing employees and their clients and started the development of a Sales Force Automation System that would very quickly be differentiated from the others by its Windows and Client/Server technology foundations.
Thierry continues as the chief architect of Selligent’s core technology and functionality while managing all research and development activities of the company.
With over 20 years of experience in CRM, Thierry is an expert in leading-edge web and mobile technologies with a deep and thorough understanding of all the actual business and technical problems and challenges encountered in the CRM and e-Marketing space. Thierry’s technical ability, combined with a practical business view of the market, makes him one of Europe’s foremost experts in all aspects of CRM, the Web and mobile technology.
Before occupying his actual position of Chief Strategy Officer and board member of Selligent, Thierry was Chief Technical Officer during over 22 years and Chairman of the Board during 7 years.
Alain Heureux - IAB Europe
With 20 years pan-European marketing experience, Alain brings a wealth of know-how to IAB Europe, having established several successful marketing services companies across the continent. He has always taken an active interest in professional associations, having created the field marketing association ADMH-IFMA in the early 90s. At the moment Alain is working to set up the House of Communication - The Egg - in Brussels, dedicated to creativity, innovation and technologies in media and marketing. He passionately believes in the virtues of honesty, directness and transparency and, in case that makes him sound rather earnest, he also likes to see the funny side of life.
